# Snapshot cannot be re-materialized

The snapshot token addresses a ledger range that has been retention-expired or deleted under a legal obligation. It cannot be re-materialized. The refusal cites the retention act that removed it — never a silently different answer, and never a fabricated one.

## What to do

There is nothing to retry at that token. The hash tree of the expired range is retained, so artifacts sealed against it still verify.
